Job description

Join to apply for the Psychologist - Remote role at Loyal Source Government Services.

This position involves performing Medical Disability Examinations (MDE) for veterans filing disability claims related to mental health conditions such as PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety, through the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) as part of the Compensation and Pension Program. These comprehensive mental health exams include assessments and medical opinions, but do not involve treatment.

Key Roles

• Conduct outpatient assessments and evaluations
• Perform psychological/neuropsychological testing requests
• Participate in peer consultations, staff meetings, and training sessions
• Enter determinations in accordance with VA guidelines
• Conduct non-MD clinical reviews, including requests for testing

Responsibilities

• Perform mental health examinations for conditions such as PTSD, Depression, MST, Anxiety, and Eating Disorders
• Write medical opinions for mental health claims
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and VA rules
• Note: C&P mental health exams are one-time, no-treatment assessments

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed doctoral-level Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) with current, unrestricted license
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel
• Dedicated secure workspace with high-speed internet
• Graduated from an APA-accredited program

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C&P exams (training provided)
• Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)
• Experience in managed care, peer reviews, and billing codes (CPT, HCPCS)
• Clinical experience with children, adolescents, substance abuse, and evidence-based treatments
• Advanced computer skills and organizational abilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams

Pay: $62.92 + $4.93 H&W per hour.
