Overview

We at TelepsychHealth are looking for a personable, energetic, self-motivated licensed psychologist who is interested in coming on board to a private practice to provide telepsychiatric services to individuals in Texas, New York, California, Florida and potentially more states. The position is for virtual care, and also potentially in person treatment if you so desire in Jacksonville, FL.

This is an employed W2 position with benefits (health insurance, dental insurance, PTO). You would have the support of intake, benefit verification, insurance credentialing, billing, scheduling, authorizations. You would be working closely with a team consisting of a psychiatrist, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and professional counselors.

Your responsibilities would include: carrying out psychotherapy services in accordance to state and national regulations, maintain the schedule of all your active clients, complete timely appointment notes that comply with insurance contracts, operate and troubleshoot your own technology (such as computer, software, EHR), and collaborate with other providers of the practice. Interest in running group therapy would be a plus.

Position specifics

– To start, expect 20 hours of appointments per week for the first 4 weeks. As your census grows, the expectation is that in about after 4 weeks, you would work 40 hours per week.

– The patients would be seeing you from their homes, not from a clinic or hospital.

– Average age of patients is around 20-45, but ranges from 18 to 65.

– EHR we use is ChARM, and is very easy to use, extremely reliable, and web-based. It includes a patient portal, scheduling, all-in-one.

– New patient and follow up appointments are 50-55 minutes.

– Pay is based on face-to-face time with patients.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a PhD and an independent and unrestricted license in either California, New York or Texas and at least 1 year of experience in the field.
• Hold a current license in either New York, Texas, Florida, Illinois, California with a clean license history.
• Character Requirements: We are looking for someone who loves interacting with people, is collaborative with teams, exceptionally organized, ambitious about growth, articulate, attentive to details, curious and comfortable with complexity.
• You must own a computer with camera, subscribe to high speed internet, and have a private, well-lit office to see patients.
• You must be able to work at least 30 hours per week.
• You must be willing to consent to a background check.
