Position Overview

Riley Children's Health is seeking a fellowship-trained licensed or license-eligible pediatric psychologist to provide clinical services at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. The successful candidate will offer compassionate care for patients with respiratory symptoms that are psychological in nature, primarily focusing on Riley’s High Risk Asthma Clinic and other pulmonology patients with comorbid respiratory and psychiatric symptoms. Responsibilities include initial assessments and ongoing treatment for pediatric and young adult outpatients with asthma and other pulmonary conditions.

Ideal Candidate

This role is ideal for psychologists interested in an academic and clinical career working with chronically ill patients in a hospital setting. Experience with evidence-based treatments such as CBT, ACT, or DBT in medical settings is preferred.

Work Environment & Benefits
  • Flexible hybrid schedule with remote and onsite clinics, Monday to Friday, no call or inpatient duties.
  • Patient consultations via telehealth and in person at Riley Children's downtown and IU North hospital campuses.
  • Join a diverse team of four psychologists, over 30 physicians, APPs, and support staff.
  • Faculty appointment with teaching, clinical supervision, program development, and research opportunities through IUSM.
  • Dual employment through IU Health Medical Group and IUSM with competitive compensation and benefits.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Pediatric or Clinical Child Psychology
  • Post-Doctoral fellowship required
  • Licensed or eligible for HSPP in Indiana
  • Training in medical adherence and trauma is a plus but not mandatory
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
