Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations across the lifespan.
Write comprehensive reports and provide feedback to families and schools.
Provide individual, family, and/or group counseling services.
Consult and collaborate with other professionals within TLC's programs.
Participate in case consultation and collaborative treatment planning.
Provide supervision and mentoring opportunities based on licensure.

TLC, The Treatment and Learning Centers, is seeking a licensed psychologist to join our interdisciplinary outpatient team in Rockville, Maryland for part-time opportunities. This position offers the opportunity to provide psychological assessment, counseling, consultation, and collaboration within a well-established nonprofit organization serving neurodiverse individuals and their families.

Our psychologists work closely with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educational diagnosticians, counselors, and educators to support individuals and families across the lifespan. The Treatment and Learning Centers (TLC) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1950. It is an interdisciplinary organization. Each year, TLC's programs serve more than 2,000 neurodiverse individuals with a wide range of special needs. Hourly Rate of $38 - $50, depending on experience, schedule, and licensure

Responsibilities May Include

Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations across the lifespan, from toddlers through older adults
Assessing concerns related to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning, emotional and behavioral functioning, and developmental differences
Writing comprehensive reports and providing feedback to families and schools
Providing individual, family, and/or group counseling services
Consulting and collaborating with other professionals within TLC's interdisciplinary programs
Participating in case consultation and collaborative treatment planning
Providing supervision and mentoring opportunities based on experience and licensure level

Required Experience

Qualifications for the Psychologist:

Required

PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or Counseling Psychology
Current Maryland psychology license
Experience conducting psychological assessments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and/or families
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

Preferred

Experience evaluating autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and learning disabilities
Interest in working with neurodiverse populations
Experience with or interest in play therapy and working with younger children

Schedule Expectations

TLC Hours Of Operation

Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Part-time clinicians must be available for at least one evening or Saturday shift per week.
