Job Summary

The University Counseling Center (UCC) at the University of Utahenthusiastically welcomes applications for a full-time staffpsychologist to become an integral member of our large dynamicmultidisciplinary team. This is a fully benefited, full-time12-month position. Responsibilities include providing individual,group, relationship counseling, conducting initial consultations,clinical supervision, and crisis intervention services. Possessionof strong clinical skills, the ability to manage a full clientcaseload, demonstrated competence in working effectively with awide range of clientele and presenting concerns, and the ability towork collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team is desired. Thesuccessful candidate will have a solid understanding of andexperience with college student mental health needs and will havePsychologist licensure to practice independently and provideclinical supervision under Utah law.

Advanced clinical skills in high demand clinical areas (such asmood disorders, OCD, complex trauma, suicidality) preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• Ph.D or Psy.D. degree from an APA accredited graduate programin counseling, school or clinical psychology or equivalency (oneyear of education can be substituted for two years of related workexperience).
• Current licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Utah.
• One year experience in psychotherapy, group or family therapywithin a clinical setting.

Note

Applicants who hold an active license in another state and areeligible, or may become eligible, for licensure in Utah canapply.

Preferred

• Experience with hospital- based psychological practices(inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and / oroutpatient).
• Experience with individual, family, and group psychotherapy;and a variety of assessment experiences including intellectual,neuropsychological, and affective/behavioral assessment.
• Licensed for two years or more, and experience, training, orinterest in providing clinical supervision to interns andresidents.
• Completion of an APA-approved doctoral internship.
