Job summary

Qualifications

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice psychology in New York State; multi-state practice eligibility (e.g., PSYPACT) is a plus.
  • Must obtain authorization from the New York State Workers' Compensation Board (NYS WCB) to provide treatment to Workers' Compensation clients.
  • Experience providing psychological services to individuals with workers’ compensation or no-fault cases preferred.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological tests.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess mental health, cognitive functioning, and overall well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address psychological concerns and promote rehabilitation.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and trauma-focused approaches.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, case managers, and vocational counselors, to coordinate care and support return-to-function or return-to-work processes.
  • Advocate for clients to ensure access to appropriate mental health and rehabilitative services, including WC or no-fault cases when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment reports, in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Abide by PAX Health code of ethics and model values.
  • Other duties as needed within the scope of the role.

The Psychologist will bring experience providing psychological services to individuals across a range of mental health, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

This includes conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess diagnostic clarity, cognitive functioning, and functional capacity, as well as delivering ongoing therapeutic support.

This role includes working with diverse populations, including, but not limited to, individuals involved in workers’ compensation and no-fault cases, and requires a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to assessment, treatment planning, and care coordination.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Monday through Friday, with a schedule of8:00 AM–4:00 PMor9:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • No eveningsorweekendsrequired
  • W-2 employmentwithfull-time and part-time opportunities available
  • Provide30-minute psychotherapy sessionsfor Workers' Compensation clients
  • Work with patients throughout an average6-month episode of care, providing ongoing psychotherapy and support
  • Full-time compensation:$135,000–$150,000 annually,commensuratewith experience
  • Hybrid and remote opportunities, officeslocatedin the New York City region, Westchester, and Long Island.
