Are you inspired to lead psychological services as a Psychological Services Supervisor, DOC with the Department of Corrections (DOC)? You will work closely with leaders and specialists to improve service quality and accountability. Your efforts will help ensure consistent, effective mental health support at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mercer.
This role focuses on supervising psychological services to ensure consistent, accurate, and effective clinical practices across the institution. You will oversee staff performance, coordinate evaluations, and support communication between psychological and administrative leaders. As a Psychological Services Supervisor, DOC, you will perform the following duties:
- Service Oversight: Monitor psychological services and ensure staff deliver required treatment hours
- Staff Guidance: Address clinical or performance issues and collaborate on corrective actions
- Evaluation Coordination: Assign and track required psychological evaluations and related documentation
- Review Support: Assist with clinical reviews of suicide or attempts through information collection and coordination
- Administrative Duties: Approve leave, track training, and complete performance reviews with clinical consultation
- Caseload Management: Maintain assigned mental health caseload or groups as directed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Psychological Services Specialist, DOC (Commonwealth title); or
- Two years of professional experience in the field of psychology and a master's degree in psychology or a closely related field that includes fifteen graduate level credits in psychology or counseling.
Other Requirements:

- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
This position is subject to the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
