Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
• You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position requires submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports (PA State Police and FBI).

Responsibilities

• Assessment Work: Conduct functional behavior assessments and interpret psychological and behavioral data for care planning
• Behavior Support: Develop and monitor mental health support actions that address individual needs and promote positive behaviors
• Counseling Services: Provide individual and group counseling to support emotional well-being and daily coping skills
• Staff Training: Train and guide staff on behavioral strategies, data collection methods, and mental health support techniques
• Team Collaboration: Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team and contribute psychological recommendations to care plans
• Documentation Tasks: Maintain reports, monthly notes, and required records that support treatment planning and compliance
