Description

As a Psychological Associate at Medens Health, you will play a vital role in addressing the mental healthcare needs of our diverse clientele. This position is primarily psychotherapy‑focused, with opportunities to gain supervised experience in psychological assessment.

You will provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy to adolescents and adults presenting with a range of mental health concerns. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in psychological testing and evaluation under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.

Services are delivered through a combination of in‑person care at our San Francisco office and telehealth. This role is ideal for post‑doctoral clinicians seeking strong clinical training in psychotherapy, with exposure to assessment in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.

Weekly supervision is provided by a licensed psychologist in accordance with California Board of Psychology requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual, couple, and/or family psychotherapy sessions (primary responsibility).
• Maintain a clinical caseload typically ranging from 15–20 psychotherapy clients per week, adjusted based on part‑time status.
• Complete psychological assessments for diagnostic clarification and training purposes, with opportunities to conduct approximately one evaluation per month.
• Accurately document all clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries within specified timeframes.
• Attend required supervision sessions and team meetings.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in psychology or education (e.g., clinical, counseling, or school psychology).
• Eligible for registration as a Psychological Associate with the California Board of Psychology.
• Training and experience in psychological testing and assessment (preferred but not required).
