Job summary

Medens Health seeks a Psychological Associate (Post-Doc) in Las Vegas to provide psychotherapy with opportunities to gain supervised experience in assessment. You will work with adolescents, adults, and families, and engage in testing under supervision.

Weekly supervision with a licensed psychologist and collaborative, multidisciplinary care provide strong clinical training within a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in psychology or education (clinical, counseling, or school psychology)
  • Eligible for registration as a Psychological Associate with the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners
  • Training and experience in psychological testing and assessment (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and basic technology
  • Comfortable providing care via telehealth and in-person settings
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, couple, and/or family psychotherapy sessions (primary responsibility)
  • Maintain a clinical caseload typically ranging from 15–20 psychotherapy clients per week, adjusted for part-time status
  • Complete psychological assessments for diagnostic clarification and training purposes
  • Accurately document all clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Attend required supervision sessions and team meetings

Description

As a Psychological Associate at Medens Health, you will play a vital role in addressing the mental healthcare needs of our diverse clientele. This position is primarily psychotherapy-focused, with opportunities to gain supervised experience in psychological assessment.

You will provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy to adolescents and adults presenting with a range of mental health concerns. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in psychological testing and evaluation under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.

Services are delivered through a combination of in-person care at our San Francisco office and telehealth. This role is ideal for post-doctoral clinicians seeking strong clinical training in psychotherapy, with exposure to assessment in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.

Weekly supervision is provided by a licensed psychologist in accordance with Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners requirements.

  • Demonstrate willingness to work with diverse patient populations.

  • Be open to working with a variety of patients seeking care, except when personal safety is at risk or competence may compromise patient care.
  • Seek supervision, consultation, and training to address competency issues related to specific populations or presenting problems.

Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

  • Eligible for registration as a Psychological Associate with the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners.
