Description

As a Psychological Associate at Medens Health, you will play a vital role in addressing the mental healthcare needs of our diverse clientele. You will adopt a hybrid approach to care delivery by conducting therapy sessions and psychological assessments for adults and adolescents with severe mental or emotional disorders, both in person and via telehealth.

  • Be open to working with a variety of patients seeking care, except when personal safety is at risk or competence may compromise patient care.
  • Seek supervision, consultation, and training to address competency issues related to specific populations or presenting problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, couple, and/or family psychotherapy sessions.
  • Perform psychological assessments for diagnostic clarification, neurodiverse conditions, and pre‑surgical clearance.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload, including at least 15‑20 weekly psychotherapy clients and a minimum of one psychological evaluation each month.
  • Accurately document all clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge plans within specified timeframes.
  • Attend supervision sessions as required by the California Board of Psychology or Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a doctoral degree in psychology or education, specializing in educational psychology, counseling psychology, or school psychology.
  • Meet the necessary requirements to register as a Psychological Associate with the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners or California Board of Psychology.
  • Proficiency in psychological testing and evaluations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess strong diagnostic abilities utilizing DSM‑V criteria.
  • Intermediate technological skills and willingness to utilize electronic health records.
  • Willingness to provide care to clients irrespective of demographics.
  • Comfort with delivering therapeutic services via telehealth.
  • Self‑motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to offer in‑person care at either our Las Vegas, NV or San Francisco, CA locations.
