Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Research Coordinator in the Bio-Behavioral Medicine Division to assist, coordinate, plan and implement human research protocols, including recruitment, testing, data recording and documentation per FDA/IRB and GCP guidelines.

Responsibilities include managing study visits, informed consent, data management, lab procedures, and training staff; and ensuring COVID procedures and safety protocols align with MUSC/VA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant program experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software.
• Ability to collect, organize and analyze information clearly and concisely.
• IRB and Brain Stimulation Laboratory training and independent functioning.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and phone screening of research participants.
• Obtain informed consent, enroll patients, coordinate visits and education.
• Conduct overnight shifts in the sleep lab.
• Prepare progress updates for PIs; attend staff meetings.
• Maintain documentation per FDA/IRB/Good Clinical Practice.
