Qualifications

Experience working with patients with intellectual and physical disabilities, complex medical needs, traumatic brain injury, or lifespan care preferred.
Valid NJ nursing license.
An advanced nursing degree with a concentration in psychiatric medicine.
CDS license.
DEA license.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, accessible patient care focused on quality and value-based care.
Establish longitudinal health relationships to support patients and families.
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses and other professionals; prescribe or recommend treatments for psychiatric care.
Provide consultation to clinical staff regarding patient care.
Work with and present cases to a multidisciplinary team caring for patients with complex needs and families.
Participate in collaborative research with faculty, residents, and students.
Teach medical students and residents in clinical skills development while seeing patients.
Participate in rotating on-call schedule and provide timely clinical response and follow-up.
Maintain accurate patient records in a timely manner.
Other tasks as assigned.
