Healthcare Organization: Non-profit Eastern North Carolina Health System is growing the Gastroenterology service line. Academic center and physician-led system.
Opportunity: Geriatric Psychiatrist- Academic Employment
Full-time permanent position
The successful candidate will join a growing academic division with a full-time tenure track appointment at the rank of professor or associate professor. Clinical assistant or clinical associate professor fixed term appointments are also available.
The successful candidate will provide direct clinical care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities will also include teaching and clinical supervision of medical students, residents, and other health professional trainees and clinical research.
Inpatient clinical responsibilities will be for consults only on the current 52 bed inpatient behavioral health unit
Outpatient clinical responsibilities will included seeing patients at the ECU Health Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine outpatient clinic and the ECU Health Family Medicine Monk Geriatric Center
Monday-Friday 8a 5p schedule
Compensation: Salary and academic rank (tenure track or fixed term) commensurate with experience and academic background
Opportunities exist for student loan repayment from the North Carolina Medical Society and The North Carolina Office of Rural Health
