Job summary

Mercor, a San Francisco–based company connecting elite AI researchers with clinical experts, seeks a Psychiatry Expert for a remote contract.

You will evaluate how language models reason through psychiatric cases, design gold-standard answers with clinical reasoning, and provide feedback on failure modes while collaborating with leading AI labs.

US, UK, Europe, or Australia-based candidates preferred; 3+ years post-residency; active board certification and unrestricted license required.

Qualifications

• Completed psychiatry residency: ACGME, AOA, or national equivalent.
• Medical degree : MD or DO . DO and international degrees qualify.
• Active board certification in psychiatry: ABPN, FRCPC, MRCPsych, FRANZCP, or recognized national equivalent.
• Active, unrestricted medical license. No suspension, revocation, or open disciplinary action.
• 3+ years of independent practice after residency, currently or within the last 2 years.
• Practice in an accredited or government-licensed setting: hospital, academic center, community clinic, private practice, or telehealth.
• Based in the US , UK , Europe , or Australia . US preferred.

• Faculty appointment in a department of psychiatry, current or within 2 years.
