Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Psychiatry Expert for a remote contract role, offering $150 per hour. The candidate will evaluate how language models reason through complex psychiatric cases and design challenge prompts to probe diagnostic reasoning.

Responsibilities include developing gold-standard answers with clear clinical rationale, focusing on edge cases, and collaborating with AI research teams. Must have completed residency and hold active board certification in psychiatry.

Qualifications

• Completed psychiatry residency: ACGME, AOA, or national equivalent.
• Medical degree: MD or DO. DO and international degrees qualify.
• Active, unrestricted medical license. No suspension, revocation, or open disciplinary action.
• Active board certification in psychiatry (ABPN, FRCPC, MRCPsych, FRANZCP, or national equivalent).
• 3+ years of independent practice after residency, currently or within the last 2 years.
• Practice in an accredited or government-licensed setting: hospital, academic center, community clinic, private practice, or telehealth.
• Based in US, UK, Europe, or Australia. US preferred.

• OSCE development or examiner experience.
• Faculty appointment in a department of psychiatry, current or within 2 years.
