University of Illinois Chicago invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry. The role includes patient care across inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, supervision of residents and fellows, and participation in a physician call rotation, with responsibilities in Neuropsychiatry and related clinics.

The candidate will contribute to teaching and departmental missions, with a focus on clinical excellence and scholarly activity within the Department of Psychiatry.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree required.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry or related subspecialty; LC/CI experience valued.
• Board-eligible or Board-certified in Psychiatry.
• Illinois medical licensure eligibility, controlled substances license eligibility, and DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and fellows in outpatient Neuropsychiatry Clinic, Memory Clinic, and inpatient Med-Psych/Consult-Liaison services.
• Provide clinical care across Psychosis, Mood/Anxiety, and Women’s Mental Health programs.
• Participate in on-call rotations including overnight and weekend coverage.
• Engage in departmental teaching, quality improvement, and special projects.
