Psychiatrist (Physician) - Remote

Location: Multiple locations (CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MN, PA, TN, WA, WI)

Shifts: Days (Mon-Fri)

Job Description:

In this role, the physician will serve as a team leader in our patient care model, based on a multi-faceted treatment team methodology. Physicians will have the opportunity to work across various levels of care, both in live and virtual environments, supporting patient admissions, protocol development, quality assurance, and peer review evaluations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct medication management sessions with patients, including psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
2. Create and update patient treatment plans.
3. Perform patient and family education, participate in team and unit meetings, and develop discharge plans.
4. Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
5. Oversee medical residents and fellows working on the unit.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Successful completion of a GME-accredited residency and/or fellowship program; additional residency in pediatrics is required if working with children.
• At least 2 years of experience in a psychiatric hospital or clinic.
• Registration with Medicare as a community provider or ability to register.
• Leadership and/or supervisory experience in a behavioral health organization is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Licensed in one of the following states: CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MN, PA, TN, WA, WI as an MD or DO; must reside in one of these states.
• Active DEA License.
