Job summary

St. Cloud VA Health Care System seeks a Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care for Veterans within the Mental Health Service Line in Saint Cloud, MN.

An incentive is authorized for highly qualified candidates, and the position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). The physician will diagnose, treat, and manage adults with mental illness, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in on-call coverage and inpatient duties.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an approved school with current unrestricted U.S. license
• Psychiatry residency completed or equivalent; board eligible or certified
• English proficiency and VA qualification standards compliance

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with mental illness
• Provide medication management and treatment planning
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary MH team and CBOCs
• Document clinical activity in the Veterans' electronic medical record
• Support on-call coverage and occasional inpatient duties
• Liaise with Primary Care and MH Service Line leadership
