U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care in a VA medical setting.

The role includes delivering psychotherapy, pharmacologic management, and conducting psychiatric evaluations, with opportunities for tele-mental health services where appropriate. The position emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, adherence to VA policies, and ongoing participation in quality and accreditation processes.

Formación

• Must hold an MD or DO degree and be licensed to practice medicine in the United States.
• Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency and board certification eligibility/board certification.
• Proficiency in tele-mental health and outpatient psychiatry settings.

Responsabilidades

• Provide treatment for beneficiaries with general psychiatric disorders in various settings.
• Utilize Tele-Mental Health based on patient needs.
• Write admission and transfer orders and maintain comprehensive clinical summaries.
• Collaborate with approved community programs for discharge planning and follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and VA guidelines.
