Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a part-time psychiatrist to deliver inpatient psychiatric care and support hospital-based mental health services.

You will assess patients, administer and interpret psychological testing, provide clinical supervision to students and clinicians, and help coordinate group therapy programs. Supplemental weekday coverage and overnight on-call duties, plus weekend hospital coverage, form the core schedule for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent patient care for individuals with DSMIV Diagnoses, focusing on individual differences, abnormal behavior, mental disorders, and their prevention as well as improvement of patient lifestyles.
• Serves as a consultant to other healthcare personnel.
• Administers and interprets psychological testing and completes reports.
• Provides clinical supervision to students, psychometrists, and clinicians in a variety of therapeutic approaches.
• Develops, implements, coordinates, and supervises provision of group therapy programs.
