The State of Wisconsin, Department of Health Services, seeks a Psychiatrist Supervisor to oversee civil unit care, supervise staff and residents, and provide direct psychiatric services. The role includes prescribing medications, conducting exams, and coordinating training with medical students and residents.
Requirements include Wisconsin medical licensure (or eligibility), and Board Certification in Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
The start date for this position will be in March 2027.
As the Psychiatrist Supervisor, you would be responsible for:
The starting pay is up to $194.11* per hour (approximately $403,700 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits.
Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. T he pay schedule and range for this position is 50/52.
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by the facility or medical personnel directed bythe facilityprior to their start date.
