SteveRecruiter, LLC in East Chicago, IN, seeks a Psychiatrist - Outpatient for a full-time, permanent position with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekend/holiday rounding 1:8 or better. This role offers a supportive, tech-forward environment with a focus on work-life balance.

You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, prescribe medications, support psychotherapy alongside pharmacotherapy, and collaborate with primary care and care teams while utilizing EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) with a clear plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic interviews and mental status examinations, to develop individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, evaluating efficacy and side effects to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize psychotherapeutic methods in conjunction with pharmacological treatments to manage acute and chronic mental health conditions
• Partner with primary care, social work, and nursing teams to provide integrated behavioral health support across clinical settings
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EHR) and participate in clinical quality reviews to enhance patient safety and care standards
