Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a Psychiatrist for outpatient services in East Chicago, IN. The role is full-time and permanent, with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekend/holiday rounding on a 1:8 or better basis.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible by ABPN with plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Unrestricted Indiana medical license and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with EMR.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, evaluating efficacy and side effects.
• Utilize psychotherapeutic methods with pharmacological treatments to manage conditions.
• Partner with primary care, social work, and nursing for integrated behavioral health support.
• Maintain accurate EMR entries and participate in clinical quality reviews to improve safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic interviews and mental status examinations, to develop individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, evaluating efficacy and side effects to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize psychotherapeutic methods in conjunction with pharmacological treatments to manage acute and chronic mental health conditions
• Partner with primary care, social work, and nursing teams to provide integrated behavioral health support across clinical settings
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EHR) and participate in clinical quality reviews to enhance patient safety and care standards

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) with a clear plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
