Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Psychiatrist - Outpatient in East Chicago, IN. The role offers full-time, permanent work with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekend/holiday rounding.

You will evaluate patients, prescribe medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality behavioral health care. HIMSS Stage VII facilities, robust EMR use including EPIC and AI-assisted documentation tools, and a strong focus on physician

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the ABPN with a plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with EMR

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications and monitor efficacy/side effects.
• Utilize psychotherapeutic methods with pharmacological treatments for acute and chronic conditions.
• Collaborate with primary care, social work, and nursing teams for integrated behavioral health.
• Maintain accurate EMR and participate in quality reviews to enhance patient safety

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic interviews and mental status examinations, to develop individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, evaluating efficacy and side effects to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize psychotherapeutic methods in conjunction with pharmacological treatments to manage acute and chronic mental health conditions
• Partner with primary care, social work, and nursing teams to provide integrated behavioral health support across clinical settings
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EHR) and participate in clinical quality reviews to enhance patient safety and care standards

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) with a clear plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
