Approximate Salary $372,434 annual base salary - 2.5% increase effective August 2025. Competitive Benefits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of OsteopathicMedicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

· Board eligible in Psychiatry, board-certifiedpreferred.

· Valid and unrestricted medical license topractice in California.

· DEA registration for prescribing controlledsubstances.

· Experience in forensic psychiatry orcorrectional healthcare preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Board-certified in Psychiatry.

· Experience with substance use disorders andco-occurring conditions.

· Comfortability with electronic health records(EHR) systems.

· Knowledge of state and federal regulationsrelated to correctional healthcare.

You are applying for a position in Correctional Health Services, which provideshealth care to adult inmates at the San Joaquin County jail facility.Acandidatemust successfully pass the security clearance,initiatedthrough a background investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office. Thebackground investigation requires the completion of an extensivequestionnaire called “Personal History Questionnaire” and is used by theSheriff’s Office to conduct the background investigation.Thesecurity clearance is a mandatory condition of employment, and the loss ofthe security clearance will result in termination from County employment inaccordance with the rules and regulations governing County employment.
