Psychiatrist - On-site

Compensation: $150 - $185 per hour (based on experience and contract type)

Location: Austin, TX

Hours: Part-time, Full-time, PRN

Position Summary

The MindCare Psychiatrist will provide inpatient or outpatient support and oversight to the medical division within MindCare Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• Create individualized treatment plans including medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Perform chart audits, peer reviews, attend meetings, and manage providers.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and standards of care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information; audit files to ensure documentation of all services; review patient status to verify completion of treatment and therapeutic programs.
• Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff for integrated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute episodes, and work proactively to prevent incidents.
• Comply with all applicable regulations, laws, policies, and standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed in TX as a psychiatrist.
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient experience, trauma experience required.
• Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency).
• Valid, unrestricted DEA license in TX.
• Proficient in using telemedicine technologies.
• Open to collaboration with PMHNP (preferred).
