Rogers Behavioral Health is a not-for-profit behavioral health system with a long history. We are a leading healthcare provider offering various levels of care including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services across multiple states.

As a physician in this role, you will serve as a team leader within our patient care model, working across different levels of care in both live and virtual environments. Your responsibilities will include supporting patient admissions, developing protocols, ensuring quality assurance, and peer review evaluations. Collaboration with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and oversight of residents and fellows during their rotations are integral parts of the role.

Services
  1. Attend Patients at the Site:
    • Provide patient care and coverage at assigned locations, which may include multiple sites and levels of care, including virtual services within your licensure scope.
    • Conduct medication management, psychiatric evaluations, assessments, history and physical exams.
    • Create and update treatment plans, educate patients and families, participate in team meetings, and develop discharge plans.
    • Collaborate with healthcare team members and oversee residents and fellows.
    • Participate in call schedules, complete documentation within 24 hours, and serve as attending physician as required.
    • Perform rounds, manage emergency detentions, and provide medication education.
    • Meet productivity standards and ensure compliance with documentation and coding standards.
    • Attend relevant medical staff meetings and contribute to payor relations and community education initiatives.
    • Support admissions, evaluate screening processes, and communicate professionally with referral sources.
Additional Job Details

Physical/Mental Demands: Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to resolve conflicts, organize and make decisions, and relate well with patients and staff. Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 20 pounds, walking, sitting, and standing is required.

Education/Training Requirements: Must be licensed in Minnesota as an MD or DO with psychiatry specialization, board-eligible (certification preferred), with residency and/or fellowship training, and at least two years of psychiatric hospital or clinic experience. Experience with process improvement and leadership is preferred.

Compensation: Salary ranges from $278,446 to $313,678, with RVU bonuses of $66 to $77 per RVU, depending on specialization.
