Job summary

ncgCARE is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse (RN) to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team in Jacksonville, NC. You will deliver critical, community-based mental health services to individuals with complex needs and oversee medical and clinical components of treatment.

The role involves medication monitoring, crisis assessments, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure person-centered care. Licensing in NC and ACTT training are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse must be licensed to practice in NC by the Board of Nursing.
• A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is also required.
• Each ACT team member must complete DMH-approved ACTT training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee all medical/clinical aspects of services delivered.
• Provide medication monitoring and documentation.
• Deliver psychopharmacologic and medical services within your scope of practice.
• Collaborate with ACT team members to monitor clinical status and response to treatment.
• Conduct crisis assessments, symptom management, and intervention planning.
• Provide individual counseling, substance abuse treatment, and psycho-educational support.
