Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Physician to provide comprehensive medical care to patients in a correctional setting in Athens, GA. You will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.

Responsibilities include prescribing medications, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• A current, valid, and unrestricted state license.
• A current, valid DEA registration, if applicable.
• Board certification in a relevant specialty is preferred, if applicable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical practice, with at least 1-2 years in correctional care.
• Experience in diagnosis, treatment planning, and managed care settings is preferred.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required.

Job Summary

The Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting, including diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. This role will collaborate with nursing and other healthcare staff to develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The Physician will also maintain accurate medical records and adhere to all healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• A current, valid, and unrestricted state license
• A current, valid DEA registration, if applicable.
• Board certification in a relevant specialty is preferred, if applicable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical practice, with at least 1-2 years in a correctional healthcare or underserved population setting preferred.
• Experience in diagnosis, treatment planning, and providing healthcare services in a managed care or correctional facility setting is highly preferred.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved).
