Job summary

PrairieCare in Minnesota seeks a Psychiatrist to lead an interdisciplinary team within PHP/IOP & Clinics, delivering holistic care for adults with psychiatric and substance use disorders. The role includes opportunities to extend services to hospital and residential programs.

You will conduct individual and family therapy sessions and stay current with resources for continuity of care across ages. Licensure and board certification are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Minnesota to practice medicine.
• Completed an accredited Postgraduate Training Residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General/Adult Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the interdisciplinary team across PrairieCare’s PHP/IOP & Clinics to deliver holistic mental health care.
• Provide high-quality treatment to adults with psychiatric and substance use disorders.
• Work across PHP/IOP & Clinics with potential to serve hospital and residential programs.
• Utilize follow-up resources to ensure continuity of care for patients of all ages.
• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions to foster healing.

• Resource Familiarity: Stay informed about follow-up resource services available to adults, adolescents, and children to ensure continuity of care.
• Therapeutic Engagement: Conduct individual and family therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for healing and growth.

• Training: Successfully completed an accredited Postgraduate Training Residency.
• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General/Adult Psychiatry.

• Knowledge Base: Knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, as well as advanced principles of abnormal psychology.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Crisis Management: Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations, making effective decisions under stress.
• Patient Management: After training, capable of managing disruptive and explosive patients.
• DEA Certification: DEA certification is required.

Pay range for this position is $300,000 to $325,000, depending on education and experience.

Signing Bonus & Relocation Allowance offered.
