Job summary

Labela is seeking U.S.-based psychiatrists at every career stage for a high-level clinical consulting role to audit and refine AI-driven diagnostic reasoning. You will serve as a subject-matter expert validating clinical pathways against DSM-5-TR guidelines and safety standards.

The engagement is 100% remote with flexible, project-based hours. For the cohort, candidates in Texas are prioritized, and the program runs from July 30 to August 31, 2026.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN) or currently training as a senior resident or fellow (PGY-2+).
• 2+ years of postgraduate clinical training. Must be based in the United States.
• Ability to provide concise, technical feedback on complex clinical cases.

Responsibilities

• Audit and refine AI-generated diagnostic and treatment strategies to align with APA (DSM-5-TR) standards.

Overview

Labela is seeking U.S.-based Psychiatrists at every career stage, from board-certified attendings and fellows to senior residents (PGY-2 and above), for high-level clinical consulting. You will serve as a subject matter expert to validate, refine, and audit the clinical reasoning of frontier AI models. This is a flexible, remote role designed to let clinicians influence the safety and accuracy of medical AI at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Logic Auditing: Review and refine AI-generated diagnostic and treatment strategies to ensure alignment with APA (DSM-5-TR) standards.
• High-Complexity Validation: Provide expert-level ground truth for intricate psychiatric case presentations, diagnostic formulation, and risk assessment.
• Safety Oversight: Identify clinical inaccuracies or hallucinations in AI outputs that could impact patient safety or triage decisions.
• Strategic Consulting: Advise on the development of AI-driven clinical decision support tools for psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• Credentials: Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN), or a current senior resident or fellow (PGY-2 or above) training in the field.
• Experience: 2+ years of postgraduate clinical training. Established attendings and senior trainees are equally welcome.
• Citizenship: Must be based in the United States.
• Communication: Ability to provide concise, technical feedback on complex clinical cases.
