Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs in the Greater Los Angeles area is expanding its psychiatric services and recruiting psychiatrists to serve a diverse veteran population. You will provide diagnostic evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

This full-time on-site position offers leadership opportunities within the NCWI and potential involvement with national initiatives to improve veteran independence and recovery.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy (MD/DO) with residency in an accredited core specialty.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted medical license; board certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage medications.
  • Conduct suicide risk assessments and crisis intervention.
  • Provide psychotherapy and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to program expansion and leadership opportunities within NCWI and national initiatives.

  • Salary Range: $265,000-$310,000
  • PTO: 50-55 days of PTO annually (26/13 days of annual/sick leave, 11 holidays,)
