Job summary

Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia, seeks a Military Medic and Corpsman Program / Clinical Care Technician. You will provide skilled patient care to psychiatric and geriatric patients under registered nurse supervision.

The MMAC program supports transitioning military medical personnel; eligible candidates are MMAC Qualified, or may be referred to PHS for MMAC under the ’No Medic or Corpsmen Left Behind’ initiative. Supervision is provided by physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• MMAC qualified candidates with hands-on patient care skills within 12 months prior to MMAC application date.
• Candidates not MMAC qualified may be referred to PHS for MMAC eligibility and may work under MMAC classification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to psychiatric and geriatric patients under RN supervision.
• Administer medications, maintain patient records, and promote health and wellness education.
