Job summary

The Virginia Department of Veteran Services is seeking a part-time Military Medics and Corpsmen (MMAC) program Coordinator to help former military medics obtain civilian healthcare employment. This role will coordinate recruitment, screening, and referral of MMAC applicants to healthcare employers, ensuring timely processing and high-quality service.

You will work with the MMAC Program Manager and Recovery Coordinator to track data, report metrics, and support post-hire follow-up, while building

Qualifications

Interpersonal skills to collaborate with hospitals, facilities, government officials and business owners/operators.
Experience in planning, analysis, and decision making.
Experience as Medic or Corpsman.
Experience with partnerships with hospitals/health care systems.
Advanced oral and written communications skills.
Ability to effectively use software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
Ability to independently manage a high volume of work.

Responsibilities

Facilitate recruitment, review and refer MMAC applicants to healthcare employers to hire.
Conduct applicant case management: processing, screening, classification, referrals and follow-up.
Coordinate with MMAC Program Manager and Recovery Coordinator to ensure high-quality customer service and accurate data reporting.
