Job summary

CATCH, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Technician for Lehigh House in Philadelphia to support residents through treatment and daily living activities. The role offers morning, evening, and weekend shifts in a small, team-based residential setting.

You will assist residents with treatment plans, skill-building, and community integration, while documenting progress and ensuring safety in a supportive, trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED plus at least 12 college credits from an approved program.
  • At least six months of behavioral health experience; inpatient, residential, crisis, or emergency services preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency vehicle requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in carrying out individualized treatment and transition plans.
  • Provide coaching and skill-building for personal care, communication, and community participation.
  • Lead or co-lead structured groups and activities; assist during meals and outings.
  • Observe mood, behavior, and safety; communicate changes to clinical staff.
  • Complete progress notes, shift documentation, and incident reports on time.
  • Use de-escalation practices and maintain a trauma-informed environment.
  • Transport residents in an agency vehicle and participate in trainings.

LEHIGH HOUSE LTSR / PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM

Psychiatric Technician - Lehigh House

Direct support, recovery coaching, and residential care

$17.00 per hour

Full-time and part-time openings

M-F, 8am - 4pm

M-F, 4pm - 12am

Sat/Sun, all shifts

Several weekday and weekend openings are available. Specific schedules will be discussed during the hiring process.

Lehigh House is a 16-bed residential program offering both Long-Term Structured Residence and Partial Hospitalization Program services.

As a Psychiatric Technician, you will work directly with residents as they follow treatment plans, build daily-living skills, participate in therapeutic activities, and prepare for greater independence in the community.

What you'll do
  • Support residents in carrying out individualized treatment, rehabilitation, and transition plans.
  • Provide coaching and skill-building support related to personal care, communication, community participation, conflict resolution, and other recovery goals.
  • Lead or co-lead structured groups and activities and support residents during meals, appointments, and community outings.
  • Observe residents' behavior, mood, functioning, and safety and promptly communicate significant changes or concerns to clinical or nursing staff.
  • Complete progress notes, shift documentation, incident reports, and other required records accurately and on time.
  • Use approved de-escalation and crisis-response practices and help maintain a safe, respectful, trauma-informed environment.
  • Transport residents in an agency vehicle when assigned and participate in team meetings, supervision, and required training.
What you'll bring
  • High school diploma or GED plus at least 12 college credits from an approved educational program.
  • At least six months of behavioral health experience; psychiatric inpatient, residential, crisis, or emergency-services experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet CATCH requirements for operating an agency vehicle.
  • Clear communication, dependable attendance, sound judgment, professional boundaries, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
