Skills / Requirements

• Supports care activities for patients with mental or behavioral health issues under RN supervision.
• Works closely with charge nurses and staff to ensure patient safety and care needs are met.
• Competent in medical and behavioral health terminology.
• Possesses technical, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical skills/training relevant to the specialty preferred.
• Accredited SAMA certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Psychiatric Technician I certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support from AHA-approved program.
• One year of related clinical experience preferred.

Other Certificates

As required by the unit/service.

Special Requirements

• Above average verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terms and PC usage.
• Work schedule includes weekends, holidays, and flexibility.
• EKG and/or Phlebotomy competency validation within 6 months, if applicable.
