Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Psych Tech for our Float Pool II to support mental health services and patient care. The role emphasizes collaboration with the treatment team, monitoring therapy, and delivering safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

The position is per diem, night shifts, 36 hours per week, with a 6:45pm–7:15am schedule and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in related field.
• Prior inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.

As a Psych Tech, You Will

• Facilitates patient-professional collaboration at all levels of health care.
• Monitors therapeutic treatment
• Recognizes and values differences in the care team and creates a setting conducive to opinion-sharing.
• Collaborates with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures.
• Incorporates clinical guidelines into patient care

Qualifications Include

• Minimum of 2 years in related field
• Prior experience in inpatient behavioral health setting preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate

Work Schedule

This position is paid at a per diem rate of $26/hr.

• Typical Daily Schedule: 6:45p-7:15a (3, 12-hour shifts per week - Within the 4-week schedule cycle, employee is expected to work a minimum of three weekend shifts [1 Saturday, 1 Sunday and another weekend shift of your choice]. Must also work 1 Monday and 1 Friday.)
