Job summary

Atrium Health Kings Mountain is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to support Registered Nurses in caring for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients. You will work under supervision on the unit to ensure safety and compassionate care.

This part-time position provides 24 hours per week with two 12-hour shifts, every third weekend. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPI certification within 90 days, and BLS per policy. On-site benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire date; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in meeting needs of psychiatric or chemically dependent patients.
• Observe and report signs and symptoms; document patient behavior.
• Engage patients therapeutically and participate in group activities.
• Participate in unit-based process improvement and committees.
