Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska seeks a Psychiatric Technician to provide compassionate client care within a 24-hour framework. You will assist with escorting clients, engage in therapeutic activities, and document progress in the electronic health record.

Must be 18+, hold CPR/First Aid, and complete Mandt training within ranges. Two years of relevant residential or psychiatric experience preferred; High School diploma or GED required; Alaska driver's license and background

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree in human services preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in residential treatment, psychiatric, or developmental disability program preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire; Mandt Training within 1 year of hire.
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License and insurability under corporate insurance.
• Medication Training at first available training.
• Background check must be passed.

Responsibilities

To provide a healthy, safe structured environment; engage clients and families in a therapeutic alliance; provide therapeutic interventions as directed; function as an active member of the Bautista Staff. Assist with escorting clients within Bethel and outside of Bethel, when needed. Psych techs are expected to be an active participant in client social, educational and therapeutic activities.
