Overview

Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career while working with an extraordinary team? At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do! We are seeking a Psychiatric Technician to join our team in our Bethlehem, PA location.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and therapeutic treatments, monitor for potential side effects and report
• Provide care in a manner that considers the patient’s rights, safety, comfort and the overall therapeutic environment
• Observe, document and report resident behavior
• Monitor and document weights, blood pressure, pulse and respiration per MD orders and monthly for all residents
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisors in a timely manner that affects patient care or well-being
• Fill in resident charts
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff members, understand, and implement Merakey policies and procedures
• Order refills of medications
• Act as lead staff when the Administrator or Asst. Administrator is not available
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the Administrator

Compensation

Earn $16.25 per hour or $18.25 with the selection of our Enhanced Pay option.

Requirements

• Mental Health experience is preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
• Must be able to work 3p-11p full-time with weekends and holidays
