Job summary

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to join our Behavioral Health team. You will provide direct patient care and 1:1 observation for pediatric patients with high-risk behaviors under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

In this role you will help maintain safety, deliver therapeutic support, and implement behavioral interventions to support patients and families. Shift is 7am-7:30pm, with weekends and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Required: 1+ year experience as a licensed Psychiatric Technician providing direct patient care to individuals exhibiting high-risk or escalating behaviors.
• Preferred: Experience working in an acute care or medical hospital setting. Pediatric or adolescent patient care experience.
• Education/Licensure/Certifications: Active California Psychiatric Technician license (BVNPT); Current BLS from American Heart Association; Complete facility-provided Behavioral Health curriculum within 3 months of hire.
