Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital Inc on Main Campus, Columbus, OH, is hiring a Psychiatric Staff RN for evening shifts (3pm–11:30pm) at 0.8 FTE. The role floats to BH In-patient units as directed by leadership and includes responsibilities to support patients through care episodes with safety and quality as priorities.

Starting pay is $36.90 per hour with potential for higher rate based on experience; evenings differential $5.00 and $5.00 weekend differential.

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as directed by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates care priorities to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring patients' physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
