Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a registered nursing program.
• All entry-level Associate degree RNs with RN start date on/after April 1, 2020 must provide evidence of BSN within five years from last day of month of RN start date.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
• Current MN RN License.
• BLS for Health Care Providers from AHA or ARC is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, education and transitions of care.
• Supports professional nursing practice across settings and continuum of care.
• Functions within the Mayo Nursing Care Model with accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care.
• Provides leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resources.
• Possesses excellent communication skills and may participate on committees or projects.
