Job summary

Aurora Behavioral Healthcare San Diego is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide general and psychiatric nursing care to adults with emotional or psychiatric disorders. You will implement interventions to promote health, assess dysfunction, help patients regain coping abilities, maximize strengths, and prevent disability, focusing on psychiatric-mental health care. The role offers PM shift from 3:00 P.M.

to 11:30 P.M. with full-time or part-time status and a pay range of $50 to $67 per hour.

Qualifications

Must hold a Current California Registered Nurse License.
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification for Healthcare Providers - AHA.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (PMHN) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Collects and analyzes data on patient’s physical, psychological, self-care, education, and discharge needs.
Develops a care plan with goals and nursing actions for each patient.
Maintains communication with units and departments; supervises direct patient care as needed.
Performs medication management responsibilities.
Leads patient community meetings and contributes to discharge planning.
Maintains patient and unit documentation; ensures a safe, therapeutic environment.
