Job summary

River Edge Behavioral Health in Macon, GA is looking for a Full-time Registered Nurse for the Judiciary In-reach Program. Under supervision, you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, collect lab specimens, and educate patients on treatments for those at Bibb County Jail.

You will also assist with prior authorizations and document all care accurately. The role requires psychiatric experience, a current GA nursing license, and compliance with all policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing with the Georgia State licensing board.
• Minimum of one year psychiatric experience.
• Satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test required.
• Provide two professional references (former employers only).
• Knowledge and experience with chronically mentally ill population is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments including nutrition and pain evaluations.
• Administer and monitor medications and treatment plans.
• Document care accurately and promptly in the patient record.
• Observe behavioral changes and report to supervising clinicians.
• Maintain strict control of drugs and medication inventory.
• Assist with patient assistance applications as needed.
