Job summary

River Edge Behavioral Health in Macon, GA seeks a Full-time Clinician for the Judiciary In-reach Program. Under supervision, the Clinician conducts confidential behavioral health assessments, brief and ongoing mental health counseling, and substance abuse assessment for clients at Bibb County Jail.

The role involves developing solution-focused treatment plans, participating in individual and group sessions, coordinating admissions, and maintaining accurate records while collaborating with jail

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or counseling.
• Licensed: LAPC / LMSW / LAMFT required; LMFT / LPC / LCSW preferred.
• At least 1 year postmaster's experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment.
• Experience with chronically mentally ill populations and case management in community/criminal justice settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential behavioral health assessments, counseling, and substance abuse assessment for jail clients.
• Develop solution-focused treatment plans addressing goals and interventions.
• Lead individual and group counseling, and attend court proceedings when applicable.
• Complete and maintain collaborative documentation and case records.
• Coordinate admission and intake processes for new clients and ensure smooth transitions to treatment.
• Collaborate with jail staff and referral sources to support clients' recovery.
• Stay informed about local treatment resources and comply with policies and regulations.
