Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults. You will conduct assessments, deliver nursing interventions, monitor medications and ensure safety within milieu and crisis settings.

You will develop and update treatment plans with the team, participate in policy implementation, and support patients and families during vulnerable times.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Michigan required.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
• Current certification in BLS/CPR preferred.
• Employees must be in good standing to be considered for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process.
• Assesses mental health needs; develops diagnoses, outcomes, plans and evaluates care.
• Monitors medication effects and side effects; ensures safety; milieu management and crisis intervention.
• Participates in development and implementation of department policies and procedures.
• Develops measurable goals on the Individualized Treatment Plan with the treatment team and patients.
