Job summary

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care for children, adolescents, adults, and chemical dependency patients. The role emphasizes nursing assessment, care planning, and milieu management within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring effects, ensuring patient safety, and documenting responses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required.
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience required. Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Current CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors. Direct milieu management.
• Provide assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status.
• Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
• Document nursing care, treatment, and patient’s response to treatment.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and apply appropriate treatment interventions.
