Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital in New Lenox, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. You will provide direct and indirect patient care within a multidisciplinary team, applying nursing assessments and the nursing process to support patients and families.

The role requires an Illinois nursing license and a Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least three years in a psychiatric setting. A medication administration exam must be passed prior to giving medications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred.
• Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in the health care team, offering both direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians.
• Assess the physical and psychological conditions of patients continuously throughout their care journey.
• Utilize the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of SOBH.
• Uphold a safe therapeutic environment grounded in our core values.
• Collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, actively contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.
